Airports

In south-eastern Sicily there are two airports, Catania Airport (www.aeroporto.catania.it),  which is about 45 minutes from the center of Syracuse, and Comiso Airport, in the Ragusa area  (http://www.aeroportodicomiso.eu/it/) which is 5 km from Comiso, 15 km from Ragusa and 90 km from Catania.

By Bus

In the center of Catania, next to the central train station, there is the bus station. From there, buses leave for the main towns in the Catania, Siracusa and Ragusa area.

You can choose Autolinee Trasporti Interbus (www.interbus.it)  or Azienda Siciliana Trasporti (www.aziendasicilianatrasporti.it), both have frequent connections to Noto, Syracuse and Ragusa.  From Catania to Noto it takes 1 hour and a half, from Catania to Syracusa it takes 45 minutes, from Catania to Ragusa it takes 2 hours.

Noto city bus –  In Noto there is a city bus operated by “Ditta Caruso”  – Via G. Borsi – Tel. 0931836123. In summer the bus reaches Noto Marina, with intermediate stops at Lido di Noto,Calabernardo, Eloro.

By Train

The train that connects Catania to Syracuse is not fast, but offers a beautiful landscape in many parts of the route. In Syracuse you must change if you want to continue to the towns of the district of Noto. Particularly striking is the path to Ragusa, where you can admire the countryside landscapes with striking views of the dry-stone walls.
